Facebook (FB) is premarket about 25 to 30 percent higher after beating earnings and revenues estimates by a slight margin. The share of mobile ads exceeded all expectations with 41% of total revenues.
Mark Zuckerberg believes that mobile revenues will soon be larger than desktop revenues. Is that wishful thinking and the current mobile trend short-lived?
Facebook users could be even more annoyed by mobile ads than they are already by Facebook’s desktop advertising. Advertisers then could find out that mobile ads are ineffective. Finally Facebook could find out that users turn away from there system to ad-free mobile social messengers.
